Our branch of the Christopher Family with photographs.

As an amateur family history researcher I decided to take a close look at the distribution of the surname Christopher from 1900 to the earliest references in England and Wales. The reason for this research was my irritation with other Irish family history researchers who continue with the assertion that Christopher is not an Irish surname.

You will gather from this that my Christopher family is of Irish decent from Dungarvan in County Waterford, due to the death of their father in 1876 three brothers were dispatched to Blackburn in England and seven other children to Philadelphia in the USA.

John Christopher married Ellen Morrissey at Abbeyside Dungarvan 10/05/1857 they had Ten Children all born in Dungarvan County Waterford Ireland.
